Once you have placed your order: Start thinking about what wording you want printing. You will receive a wording pack email (normally within the week), with your wording forms and details to help you to compile your perfect wedding stationery wording. If this email hasn't arrived in the week, please check your junk folder then get in touch. This pack will detail our order process & explain everything you need to know about compliling your wording & the proof process.
Compile your wording & return to us by email: After receiving your final wording back, we will book in a proof design for each item & email your proofs (normally within the week) a digital proof of your stationery.
Approve your proofs: Proofs are an exact replica of your wordings set into our print templates. Each proof should be carefully read, checked by yourself & approved. Simply by replying to the email with your approval in writing is just what we need to send your proofs to print. The price of your stationery includes 1x free set of proofs for each item. Changes required to proofs shouldn't be necessary as we take your wordings exactly as you have asked. If you do require changes to your proofs, a proof re-design will be booked in (charged at £5 per item). All details of the proof process will be detailed in your wording & proof emails.
Print & Production: When you approve your proofs in writing, your proofs are sent to print and production. This takes 4 weeks. For priority orders, print & production will normally take approx 7 working days. A swift return of wording, followed by a swift approval of proofs by the customer will result a smooth design schedule and will mean that lead times can be adhered to. Delays returning wording or approving proofs, making changes to proofs will naturally delay the design schedule.
Shipping: After 6 weeks (or 14 working days for priority orders) your order is checked then carefully packed & wrapped. It is then shipped by the chosen economical carrier to the delivery address on the order. Priority orders are sent by overnight next working day courier for UK mainland addresses (IMPORTANT: working days do not include saturdays of course) or the quickest delivery method available for all other addresses (Ireland/Scottish Highlands). International orders will be shipped by the most economical method. You will then receive your bespoke gorgeous bundle.
Finally: Squeal of delight, tears of happiness often follow. Get ready for the rave reviews from your lucky guests!
SOME NOTES: If you order invitations & reception items together, the order will be proofed & shipped in two parts - Phase I items being your invitations, rsvp and gift or info cards. Phase II being all of your accessories for the day, which will be delivered before your actual wedding date. Wording for Phase I and Phase II is supplied at different times. This is managed by ourselves and we will be in touch with helpful reminders along the way.
We need 6 weeks to complete wedding stationery orders. And 14 working days to complete priority slots. These are expected completion dates and delivery timescales will be on top of our lead times. Our ability to stick to both lead times is dependant on the customer sending their completed final wordings at the time of ordering or asap after ordering and is also dependant on a swift approval of proofs by the customer. Delays in returning completed wording to us, will result in equivalent delays to the date that receive your wedding stationery order as we are unable to book any dates into our schedule without completed wording. An order is deemed as incomplete until it is paid in full and any necessary wording is received by ourselves. No work can start on incomplete orders. Once we have received a complete order, the earliest available dates will be booked for proofs/design. Similarly, changes a customer requests to their proofs will hold up the print/production of an order also and hence the specified lead time will be delayed by the equivalent days. It is really important that the customer understands that the speed that we can work to is dependant on the customer fulfilling their duties (sending wordings quickly & swiftly approving their proofs) to move orders on from the order being placed.
As a guide, the date that we receive your completed wording (via email) by, you should expect to receive your proofs around 7 working days after (for both standard & priority orders) - our tip: send your wording back to us correct and quickly. Delays to sending wording to us WILL delay your order for standard & priority lead times. As a guide, the date that we receive your proof approval in writing (via email) you should expect to have design completed within 4 weeks for standard orders & approx 7 working days for priority orders - our tip: send your wording correct first time & approve your free set of proofs quickly. Changes to proofs WILL need to be re-proofed. This will incur costs and will delay your order for standard & priority orders. Please allow a day or so either side of these dates for final checks and re-prints before we can release any order for dispatch. And of course, delivery times will then apply to all orders.
IMPORTANT: It is a customers responsibility to understand these processes & timescales. We hand make all orders and work as fast as we can to turn many orders around each week. As dates are usually fully booked with customers who have already ordered, the above timescales apply so that existing customers receive their orders on time. Priority slots are at our discretion and are provided to help customers as opposed to a customers entitlement to our services. We are unable to accept all orders and during peak times reserve the right to refuse or decline orders at our discretion.
